Documentary Wedding Photography - Frequently Asked Questions
What is documentary wedding photography?
Documentary wedding photography is a candid, unobtrusive approach that focuses on real moments rather than posed shots. I capture your day as it naturally unfolds — the quiet glances, loud laughter, and everything in between — telling the full story without interrupting it.
Do you also take family group photos and portraits?
Yes, of course. While I specialise in documentary coverage, I always make time for group photos and couple portraits if you’d like them. We’ll plan this in advance so it feels relaxed and seamless on the day.
Where are you based and do you travel?
I’m based in London and regularly photograph weddings across the UK and beyond. Travel within London and Berkshire is included in my collections, and I’m always happy to travel further — just let me know the details.
How many images do we get and how are they delivered?
You’ll receive a carefully curated gallery of high-resolution, fully edited images — usually between 500 and 900, depending on the coverage. Your gallery will be online and downloadable, with options for prints and albums.
When will we receive our wedding photos?
The full gallery is delivered within 6 to 8 weeks. I always send a small preview within a few days after the wedding so you can relive some highlights while everything’s still fresh.
Do you offer albums or prints?
Yes. I offer beautifully designed, fine-art albums and high-quality prints. These can be added to your package at any point — whether before or after your wedding.
Can we meet before booking?
Absolutely. I always recommend a video call or in-person coffee if you’re local, so we can chat about your plans, get to know each other, and make sure we’re a good fit.
